Spanish–English 1st grade worksheets

CVC words, sight words and addition within 20, with a bilingual word bank on every page.

Spanish–English is the pairing most US dual-language, transitional bilingual and newcomer programmes ask for. Every theme on this site carries a Spanish word for each picture, with accents preserved in print (pájaro, camión, mañana) so children see the spelling their reading books use.

First grade adds writing and arithmetic. Pair the vocabulary themes with sentence frames ('The cat is small / El gato es pequeño'), use the math maker for addition and subtraction within 20, and let children build their own word search with a partner at the end of the week.

Which worksheets should I start with?

Start with the picture cards for the theme, then the matching sheet as an exit ticket, and finish the week with the word search.
