Updated 2026-10-29 · free for classroom and personal use
What you can print
Each theme comes with the same set of printables, so you can build a week of French practice from one vocabulary list:
- Picture flashcards — French word, English word and a picture on one card.
- Tracing — trace the French word, then write it, with the English meaning beside it.
- Matching — match French to English, or French to picture.
- Word search — French word bank with an answer key.
Every word also has its own page with French, English, Spanish and Chinese (pinyin): les 525 mots.
Where to start
Beginners do best with concrete nouns first: animals, colours, numbers, family and food. Add verbs once the nouns are secure. The 52 theme pages list all ten words with pictures, and each theme has a four-page PDF pack.
French and English together
The worksheets print both languages on the same face. A child can read the French word and check the English meaning without a dictionary, and a teacher who does not speak French can still run the activity from the picture.
Printing tips
All sheets are A4 portrait. On Letter paper choose “Fit to page”. The printables print only the worksheet — no header, navigation or ads.
