A–Z tracing, beginning sounds and letter cards for preschool and kindergarten.

Updated 2026-10-29 · free for classroom and personal use

What you can print

  • A–Z pages — one page per letter with uppercase, lowercase, a picture and a word.
  • Beginning sounds — match the picture to the first letter.
  • Letter cards — uppercase and lowercase cards for games and sorting.
  • Picture flashcards — 52 themes with a picture for every word.

Start at alphabet or open letter A and move through the set.

Order to teach

Teach letters by sound and shape, not strictly A–Z. Start with the letters in the child’s name, then high-frequency consonants (s, t, p, n) and short vowels. Add handwriting once the sound is known.

Printing tips

Print letter pages single-sided so children can trace on the back. Card sets print best on card stock.
