Spanish–English worksheets for kids
Spanish is our most-used partner language: picture cards, word searches and tracing sheets with English and Spanish on the same page.
Spanish–English is the most common pairing in US dual-language and transitional bilingual programmes. Every theme on LingoSheets includes a Spanish word for each picture, with accents preserved in print.
Teaching notes
- Use the matching sheet for cognates first: animal/animal, familia/family, planeta/planet.
- Ask children to sort the cards into masculine and feminine nouns — el gato, la vaca.
- Send home a flashcard page; families can practise both languages without a screen.

Frequently asked
Do I need to speak both languages?
No. The cards are designed so a monolingual teacher or parent can run the activity: the picture carries the meaning, and both words are printed.
Is the Spanish vocabulary reviewed?
Word lists are curated by our team and checked for common classroom usage. If you spot a regional variant you would like added, email us — we update the open data set monthly.
Can I use these with older students?
Yes. The same themes work for newcomers in secondary school; increase the grid size and use the word–word matching sheet for a quick diagnostic.
