Use this set
Five ways to teach apple, banana, orange, grape, watermelon, strawberry
Picture cards first
Print the flashcards with both languages, cover one side, and ask children to name the picture. Then reveal the word to check spelling.
Word search warm-up
Hand out a word search at the start of the lesson. Finding the words first makes the reading and matching tasks feel easier.
Match and say
Use the matching sheet, then point to each pair and ask for a sentence: “The cat is small / El gato es pequeño.”
Bingo review
Play bingo at the end of the week. Read the target-language word aloud; children cover the picture. The caller sheet keeps it fair.

Questions about this set
Is the fruit worksheet free?
Yes — the word list, the sample word search and every maker on this page are free for classroom and personal use.
Can I change the words?
Yes. Open a maker, leave the word set on “All themes / custom list”, and type your own list. The theme is a starting point, not a fixed product.
Which language pair should I print?
Most teachers print English + Spanish or English + Chinese. For heritage-language families, try reversing the pair so the home language comes first.
